Gigan - Quasi-Hallucinogenic Sonic Landscapes
Second up today is the batshit psychosis of GIGAN. This band successfully melds Psychedelic atmosphere and themes with the Brutal riffage of Death Metal and the frenetic pace and structure of bands like Psyopus, TDEP, and Ion Dissonance.

Origin - Entity
It's been two goddamn dreadful months of utter horseshit. Finals, bills, car breakdowns, fucked-up relationships, work, and dying relatives. I've neglected this blog for too long because of these excuses. When I really should have been uploading all along. So today I will be going back to the glory days of sharing awesome Metal. Today I'll be giving you two of the sickest new Death Metal releases.
First up is Origin, whom once again prove to the Metal world why they are looked upon as gods of Brutality and Technicality. This is Ultra-Brutal, non-stop bash-your-fucking-brains-in DEATH METAL. Don't pass up this gory slab of win.

Nocturnus - Full-Length Discography
Sorry I haven't been keeping up with the blog lately, but I'm gonna make up for it today by posting some Classic Progressive Death Metal. If you like space, Old-School brutal riffs, and songs that influenced bands like Necrophagist, then you'll definitely love Nocturnus. If you're not sure about them, at least give The Key a try. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Diskreet - Engage The Mechanality
As a local Brutal Death Metal band, I've had the privilege of seeing Diskreet several times. They have NEVER disappointed me. Their brand of Technical rape is insanely heavy and always a pleasure to listen to. This band is comparative to Defeated Sanity and Hate Eternal in their level of musicianship and brutality. I don't use that word lightly either, they are FUCKING BRUTAL. Download if you want to hear some of the best BDM currently available.

Wormed - Planisphaerium
Wormed. One of the greatest Technical Brutal Death Metal bands of all time. If you don't download this album and let the sounds therein referred to as "Music" wash over you like photons upon the magnetic refractions of long lost alien planets, then you sir are a fuckbag. This album is monumental in the world of Metal, its cosmic gorescapes exude skill to the brim and it's unyielding brutality gives you the sense of falling into an abyssal void where Cthulhu himself gnaws at your bones for a millennia. Don't miss this comrades.

The Numbers Of The Beast: Top 10 Albums of 2010
The time has come. The end of the year is upon us and Metal has fought hard for my attention in the bowels of my Zune. Now I will crown the warriors of Metal as kings above the pawns.
First off we will award the honorable mentions:

Sadly, as epic as these albums are, they were barely beat out by the competition. Therefore they must stay in the front room and play with crayons with the rest of the kids.
Disagree with me? Bitch in the comments. The winners after the jump.

Vomit The Soul - Apostles Of Inexpression
GODLY Brutal Tech-Death from Italy. This album has some of the best use of bass I've ever heard and completely crushes with its unrelenting groove and unapologetic slams. Fuck your face if you don't like this, it's Modern Death Metal done right.
